ABOUT US

Compass Center for Families began as Sheridan County CASA in 1991 when a group of concerned citizens came together to address the need to raise community awareness and involvement in the issue of child abuse and neglect. In 1999, the Family Visitation Program was added in response to a need identified by the child welfare community. Since then, we have now added the Parent Enrichment and Parent Liaison Programs.

Our work at Compass Center for Families is deeply rooted in the belief that strong families are the cornerstone of strong communities. We also believe that all families have strengths and that all families need support at some time or another.

We are able to successfully support families in Sheridan and Johnson county thanks to the dedication of our staff, our Board of Directors, and our incredible partners. We deeply value the connections we have in the non-profit sector, the school districts, Department of Family Services, court system, and all other community organizations that make our mission possible.
